I wasnt sure where to post this thread, but Gen Tech sounded right. Moderators, please move it if I am wrong.
Spent 7.5 hours tuning my car at the dyno shop today on a Mustang Dyno. My car only did 147.0 rwhp @ 4900 rpm as a baseline and 158.7rwhp @ 5000 rpm with major tuning. That is SAE corrected too. He multiplied 158.7 by 1.3 which turns out to be 206.3 flywheel horsepower (FYI, those are N/A runs. I didnt get any nitrous runs, but thats a different problem).
Sounds good right? Well I have CAI, Pacesetter headers, 3" Catco cat and 3" Flowmaster exhaust. Wow I gained a whopping 6.3 hp from all those mods!!
I dont know why it is so low. Any ideas? I am guessing compression loss, but I wont know that until Saturday. My dad has the tools to do it, but I wont have time to check it out till then.
The dyno sheet is below.
