The weatherstripping around my drivers side window leaks when water is sprayed from a hose or car wash directly over it. It's not a big deal but it would be nice to not have to duct tape it when I want to wash my car. Is there anything I can do that doesn't include replacing the weatherstripping? Does anybody else have this problem?

I have a similar problem with my driver's side window. It leaks from the back of the window when water is sprayed directly in that area. Also, when i am driving on the highway there is a good amount of wind noise coming from this area as well. It really is minor but i would like to fix it. I was thinking the only way to get around replacing the weatherstripping would be to maybe slip some type of shim under it. I really haven't looked at it enough yet to see if this would be possible but it sounds like it could work to help push the weatherstripping out so that it seals better against the wondow. I will have to check it out and see if i could rig sometime up while keeping it clean so that no one will be able to point out my fix.2000 Monterey Maroon Chevrolet Camaro<br />3.8L V-6/4spd Auto

I remember reading somewhere you could adjust the positioning of where the window sits when its up to eliminate wind noise / washing leaks.
