I just moved to an area with temperatures between 95 and 99. I drove almost 900 miles. Now when I driving for a while in 30mph the temp gage move from the middle (normal) to little less than 3/4 of the reading (I don't remember what are the numbers in the gage).
Now about the oil level gage, it is showing erratic readings after driving a while from speeds like 70 mph to 40 or 30 mph. This is about one year ago. Indicator moves several times from the middle (normal) to more than 1/4 of the reading (once again, don't remember are the numbers in the gage). When the dealer guy replaced the rear seal, said that reading was due to the oil sensor and was not important to replace it. Also it was expensive. I hate to see the gage moving like that. Also, sometimes the engine feels like shaking a little while iddle, no erratic reading while warming, but erratic after driving a while.
About the car:
Camaro 3.8 99' 71K miles, 7 years.
Recently checked:
Coolant, engine and transmission oil levels: OK. Oil filter OK.
Running 1500 miles with new oil filter, new motor oil, new spark plugs, new transmision and differencial fluids.
Vacuum houses, PCV, screws on the intake system: OK.
Already scanned in autozone (before the trip): No codes.
What may be these reading on the gages?
