  • Help with Fuel pressure problem....

Ok, basically my fuel pressure is good sitting at 42 or so until i go wot and past like 4000rpm to redline the pressure continuously drops to about 30 or a little below.

    Shouldnt it stay at 42??

I have also a hard start problem, its a real long crank time and my system wont hold pressure when not in use.

Ive replaced fuel filter and pressure regulator and have 6 new 24# injectors (I also have P&Ped heads and GT2 cam with a texas speed tune)

the pressure drops off from 42 to zero in a matter of seconds...

Is there such thing as a weak fuel pump? Like I said i have to prime the pump like 3 times to get it fired up

No I have the stock pump with 134k on my car. Like I said, I just replaced my FPR and it didnt help the problem, if there was a leak wouldnt there be drips of fuel tho? everything seems to be in good shape.

              im really stuck, fuel pump?

can you smell gas when you start the engine in the engine bay at all? Any puddles on the intake? Could be a leaky injector, fuel leak somewhere else, or the fuel pump starting to wear out.

if your fuel PSI is droing that far that is not safe and you have a leak or you fuel pump is about dead......

you fuel pressure should not drop off that fast.....

Nope, no fuel that i can tell is leaking from the injectors.

Its gotta be the pump, this is confusing as hell
