oh i can already hear people screaming about oil additives already....
what do you guys think... scratch that... what do you guys KNOW about that engine restore stuff. this is their site. http://www.restoreusa.com/ my friend is a gm tech and he was playing games with my car on his lunch break with the scan tool. he was like shutting down cylinders and stuff and i could TOTALLY tell that cylinders 1 and 3 were pulling the most weight cuz when he shut them down, the idle got REALLY bad as opposed to the other 4 cylinders when he shut those down. he told me that since the motor has 100k miles on it that its normal for compression loss...
is that stuff any good or is it another scam like so many other additives are?

"Your satisfaction or your money back"
but I've heard its not really that good. I've heard that people will use it when their car doesnt really run, so they add it, then sell it (as if the engine were okay).
I've heard of normal piston rings loosing good ring seal by 15% - 30% after just a few miles.

      Re: engine restore

I've used engine restore because it was recommended to me by a friend. After using it I recommend it to people looking for an oil additive. I did notice that my car ran better after adding this stuff. Of course, I don't think I need to tell you that oil additives = add at your own risk...but it seemed to work for me.
