Well, here's the deal. About a week ago, I had one of my headlights burn out, upon this happening I realized it was a sealed beam unit. This meant I would have to buy the whole sealed beam to replace the bad one. Instead, I decided it would make more sense in the long run to get an H4 headlight conversion kit, which made it so that I could use H4 bulbs which could be easily switched into and out of the housing if they ever burnt out. Today, I got everything installed at a local car customizing shop.
Once I began driving at night, something was really wrong. The low beams, if you can even call them that barely light up. The high beams light up the road a little better, but don't reach far and don't "spread" out the light like a high beam should. Also, now, whenever my lowbeams are on, the "high beam" signal on my cluster lights up, very dimly and flickers. When high beams are on, it comes on full brightness and is normal. What could this be from? Is this all related to replacing the old connector plug and splicing in an H4 connector plug? Could it just mean wires are spliced into the wrong places? I'm pretty pissed off because I thought this would really help out my lighting situation and help me out in the future.
I'm taking it back tomorrow to hear from them, but in the mean time I just wanted to know what any of you guys think it might be?
Just to show examples, below are links to some pictures I took of them on at night time.
