How do I get it to go out. I did what the manual says. Hold down the trip reset button for 10 seconds. Still comes on when car starts but goes out after a few minutes.

I hold in the trip when I turn on the car until it blinks. Then when it blinks, I push it in again, and walla, you're oil light is reset.

Try it with the key turned to ignition but don't actually start the car.

you don't have to do anything with the trip light :D
you have to turn the car so the guages all light up (but not turn the car on, sorry, i forgot the word for what this is called).

then just press the gas pedal down all the way before 5 seconds pass. The light should go off. Then you turn the car off, start it up, and there should be no Change Oil Light.

I just did this with my car a few days ago.
if you have a Grand Prix manual, all the stuff that applies to that car (guages wise) pretty much applies to my car, so I checked in there to see how to do this, and guess what. it worked :D
