ok, this is a hard one to put into words but here goes:
ever since i got the car, it's given me the SES light. every time i get P0131, p0137 and p0151. (O2 low voltage for each of the 3 O2's) each code hits twice so i have a total of 6 codes. i clear them and they always come back when i'm getting on the highway or passing (heavy acceleration). I just ignored it. then i put in a K&N and i started getting a maf code p0101. i realized that i over oiled the filter and so i cleaned off the sensor and that went away. The thing is, when i start the engine cold, it has a really lopey idle, and it lacks some throttle response at first. that got alot better when i cleaned off the maf but isnt fully gone. i know the sensors are working cuz i rented one of those tools from murrays and all three of them are toggling normally at idle so i know the sensors and all their wiring is good.
my guess is that since my gas gauge goes from full to empty if i'm sitting in traffic and then back up when i'm moving again that the sending unit is bad. if the sending unit is bad then i think its not keeping up with fuel demand when i'm flooring it for more than a few seconds and thats tripping the codes. am i on the right track here or am i TOTALLY missing something?
