    Re: loss in power greatly

do you have a compression tester? They're only lik $8-$18.
I wouldnt be making assumptions. It makes an azz out of u and me.
    Your compression could be fine.

    lost compression can be:
    bad headgasket
    bad valves
    cracked block/ cracked heads
or in my situation: bad piston rings and bent connecting rod

I love compression testers, I REALLY wish I had a leak down tester

Youre not a cheap idiot. I've done MANY free/cheap mods to my car some were half-azz
some were Great! Trial and error is part of the learning experience.

did u wash out the lid after ya did it and let it dry to get the dust offa it? did u reconnect the IAT sensor? look to see if something is blocking the intake. i highly doubt you lost compression. if you did its coincidental. cutting your box wont do that unless you sucked some crap into the motor...

idk wat it is but the engine bay when running is sooo loud when i give it gas i wish someone could hear it like it sounds really loud and it ticks sometimes ....so idk what it could be i know im loosing power from something and im thinkin its compression related because i did the free ram air mod a whileeee back but ever since its never had its power..i dont know who to bring it to to get it checked out ... i live in PA is there any people who specialize in our cars?

          Re: loss in power greatly

free ram air mod has nothing to do with compression
          what are you talking about?

loud? as in higher rpm? u sure u didnt mess up a vacuum hose? it will make it run hotter and louder and definatly bog it down
