Got the intakes off, hope to be pulling the engine in the next few days. I was cleaning the intake plenum, and was wondering what is the best way to get the greasy grimy buildup from inside the plenum. I've been using carb cleaner and a medium-bristled brush, but obviously can't reach way in there. Is there something that would make this task less of a chore?
Oh yea, started polishing the plenum, I/M and TB... looks awesome.

Soak both intakes in a large bucket with water and some degreaser. Take out after a few hours of soaking and scrub the insides with a brush. For smaller passeges, use a brush like this.
I found a brush like that at a dollar store.
Just make sure all of the sensors are removed from the intakes before soaking.
the best method I found was to buy some "purple power" put it in a big tub, dillute it with water so its about 1 part purple power 3 parts water. let is soak in there for an hour or so, then take it out and clean it, get all the grim off, and posible repeat if needed.
that stuff is sick! i already posted how i used that stuff and it not only got rid of a 1/2inch of baked on road grime but it stripped the paint off too! that should get everything all nice 'n purty for ya

Can you get this stuff anywhere, I just went to Autozone but didn't see it, they were packed, so I wasn't going to wait in line to ask someone. Should I try somewhere else, or will I have to order it?
