Hey,

Im new to the forums and i guess for my first post im gona ask a noobish question but.. what exactly dose the L23 decal mean on the rear fenders of some camaro's? there is one on a 2000 im planning on buying soon and i was wondering the diffrence between that and a base like i have now.

L32?? That's NOT a stock V6 engine. The L32 was put in the later V6 GM cars if I recall correctly.

ummm.... the L32 could be referring to a 3.4L.... the 3.8's are L36, take a look in the Engine Tech, it tells you the name of our engines. Dont know why a 3.4 would be in a 2000.

The rpo code for the 3.4L was L32. Maybe the guy did a front end swap and says its a 2000.

Hmmmm......Grab the VIN form the car and go to here. Use the VIN decoder, and it'll tell you the year made, place made, and the stock engine. Like everyone else said, there shouldn't be a 3.4 in a 2000.

Hmmm....Just did a RPO look-up for L32, and here's what it came up with:

L32-ENGINE, GAS, 6 CYL, 3.4L, MFI, V6

L32-ENGINE GAS, 6 CYL, 3.8L, SFI, V6, SUPERCHARGED, GM


So, I gues it's possible it's a SC'd 3.8. If so, I'd jump on that thing man!

You should be able to see if it is supercharged..... it would be really hard to take the 3.8 out of the GTP, or Monte and put it into a Camaro, 90 degree VS 60degree.

Sorry about the wait guys my ISP went insane for a bit but its fixed now, and i live in punta gorda kinda near fort myers, heres the auto trader add and the decal is on the rear bumper shot.
