  • Dead battery after installation of HU.

Well I put my new Pioneer hu in yesterday and I parked the car in the garage and left the key on for around oh 15-20 minutes listening to some music..I come back today and my battery is kaput. Luckily it was parked beside another car so I easily jumped it off. I dont think its normal for a battery to die after about 15 minutes of listening to music with just the key on. I dont know how old the battery is, it came w/ the car. It there something wrong with the alternator?

its a good chance your battery is just getting old. you just drained it listening to the tunes, thats all.
