hey everybody. tomm im going to change my oil but i have that GUNK motor flush stuff you put into the crankcase. my question is do you need to clean the oil screen thing and if you do what would happen if you didn't as i don't have a jack to get underneath to pull off the pan to get to it....thanks in advance

    Re: gunk

Changing the oil and filter should be sufficient, unless you have gone over 20,000 miles without touching either...
Oh, and that Gunk stuff is a waste of money. You oil cleans the internal engine parts and runs it through the oil filter.

      Re: gunk

all motor oils these days have detergents and cleaners in them. unless you bought this car from someone that didnt ever change the oil.

          dont just trash it
put it in your old oil, run it 5 minutes, flush it, put in new oil & filter. easy
I hear that it can eat up rubber seals though. So dont leave it in too long.
