Re: gunk
Changing the oil and filter should be sufficient, unless you have gone over 20,000 miles without touching either...
Oh, and that Gunk stuff is a waste of money. You oil cleans the internal engine parts and runs it through the oil filter.sigpic

Re: gunk
all motor oils these days have detergents and cleaners in them. unless you bought this car from someone that didnt ever change the oil.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2245261 Green 1997, 105k, all stock except for Z28 front springs, Air shocks in the rear, home made coolant recovery tank, home made battery hold down.

Re: gunk
dont just trash it
put it in your old oil, run it 5 minutes, flush it, put in new oil & filter. easy
I hear that it can eat up rubber seals though. So dont leave it in too long.2k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! DONT feed the Trolls!
