damn, i must have got a really good deal on my camaro then. its a 1993 and i got it with somewhat high miles, (127,xxx) but the body was in perfect condition along with the interior. the engine is doing good, and so far ive only had to do some work to the brakes for $300. i got the car for $2800 from a private party.

I guess I got an even better deal, I got my 94 Firebird M5 with 84,xxx miles with a 1yr old paint job for 2300. Ive had it a year and have only had to replace the water pump. 7400 is a bit expensive for a 97, you should be able to get a 97 Trans Am for around that price.

Well, I know I paid much more than what I would have paid from a private party, but as I told you, I bought the car from a dealership, their price are usually higher (if you buy it from a dealership, the kelley blue book was at $7460), but at least i got a 2 years extended warranty which is worth $1000. But yes, for $5500 I could have a Trans Am with 120 000 miles here, from a private owner...even saw one in good shape for $4500 but with 148000 miles on it... I will only have the Firebird for a year, I will sell her next year in May anyway, I will try to keep her in good shape.
By the way, just a question concerning the stereo, I will get rid of the Monsoon Cd player unit and buy an aftermarket cd player, I want to keep the rear subwoofers and the speakers in the rear panel (in the trunk), using the Monsoon amplifier, and would like to change the front speakers since one is clearly blown up, and connect them directly to the cd player. Can I do that?? And then what kind of speakers would you use in front? Any brand and model in particular?? I don't want to spend too much $$$ on the speakers though

I bought a 96 v6 5spd, about 9 months ago, for $3650.00 :D It had 123,000 miles on it. I'm now at 158,000 miles. I've replaced tires when I bought the car, a/c compressor, rear view mirror (my fault), and had to have some work done on exhaust again my fault, bottomed out after going airborn.
