96 headlights up NOT on

1996 firebird ,, when i turn on the parking lights the headlights pop up ,but dont turn on of course,,is this normal?

if not ,is it because i have a stripped gear?

i havent tried to flip the gear yet ,,maybe that will fix it?

No, it isn't normal. My lights don't come up until I turn on the headlights.

try turning off your foglights.. or on. that's happened to me on my 97 a couple of times and if i flip my fog lights on or off then it fixes it.. im not sure why though

It's your headlight gear.

you are correct ,,once i flipped the gear ,the headlights only pop up when headlight switch is on.....cool
