  • GM Magnetic Drain Plug

Summertime is here! Just a friendly reminder for those who love changing their oil. I have found the GM part numbers available at your local GM dealership for the magnetic drain plug and gasket that applies to V6 and V8 applications.

    Drain Plug: 23011420 ~ $11.00
    Drain Plug Gasket : 14090908 ( pkg of 5 ) ~ $6.00

While some of you may question the pricey GM magnetic drain plug, my firsthand experience locating one of these resulted in time wasted shopping around in 3 different auto parts stores and they have different sizes, types and thread pitches they may strip your oil pan threads. It is also frustrating when your favorite autoparts store only carries a few and run out and you're there waiting for their stock to be reordered, this happened to me before. Therefore, I did the dirty work for you.

Here's a nice pic of the GM Magnetic Drain Plug>> http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results...umber=23011420
