cd player skips when I step on gas

does anyone have this problem I notice when I step on the gas my cd player skips but it only does this when I go down to a half tank of gas when I filled my gas tank up it didn't do this I also have a strange nose like something is rattling also when I become a half and under on gas. Do yall think I could have a short or something I just recieved my flowmaster 40 series and I am thinking that maybe its an exhaust problem because when I lift up my muffler a lil bit the noise goes away can someone help me out on this

Ok ok, seriously...

The problem is probably with your CD player. It might be ready to die on you. The only solution to your problem that I know of is to get a new CD player.

As for the "rattling"...could you be more specific? And use periods every once in a while? :)

naw but when the radio is on everything is fine its just when I put in a cd it skips also when I fill up my gas tank everything is a okay the problem is when I get low on gas then thats when this cd player starts to skip and I get a noise coming from my exhaust pipes it sounds like its right under the drivers seat. But when I get out of my car and raise my exhaust a lil bit the noise goes away maybe when I get my flowmaster installed I will tell them to install some hangers because one was cut off by a mechanic on the passager side do to noise

Right...uh, your radio can't skip. So that's not any help really. I think it's just coincedence that it has skipped when you have a low tank of gas and I'll retain my original opinion that the CD player is simply glitching.

If the sound is coming from that far forward, your catalytic converter might be going. They tend to rattle when they're bad. Also, my stock catback did rattle a bit...your new setup might fix that.

its kinda like the gas tank weight is helping out my car but when it goes down my cd player just skips a lot I'll let you know whats the outcome when I get the flowmaster 40 series installed and get some hangers on it once again

Yea, hangers go bad pretty often, I think every car I've owned (they've all been kinda old) have had a rattling exhaust from bad hangers. As for the CD player thing, I agree that it's probably coincidence, I doubt that the extra weight of the gas helps any, if so simply have someone sit in the back when you're under 1/2 tank... lol and see if it still does it. Although I am 99% sure that it is just coincidence, I have seen weirder things happen to our f-bodies
