Mustang V6 or V8??? You won't need too many mods to beat the V6, but it's a different story with the V8! Yes...it CAN be done, but be advised, you'll need to drop some money into your car.

with his being a v6 you should be fine running the way you are. To make sure throw on the bottle. Also get an cold air intake on there.

What do you guys think about a Mustang V6 with CAI, exhaust, and ported heads? Think my stock V6 could take him?

if its the new body style then no probably not, their v6 is actually pretty nice in those suckers. the other style a.k.a. the one every neighbor you have has then you could keep up if not take him, as long as your car is running strong though

It's the older style, it's a 98 I believe. Actually, it's sitting in my backyard right now, my dad and I are swapping out the trans for him. When we went to get it, he said it was bad and said I'll be amazed at how it sounds......it sounds like crap IMO. He said the V6 Camaros were fast, but he kinda implied that his was faster. He said we'll race sometime, just wonderin if I should put any money down on it or not.

Well the way I look at it you have a couple options in this. You can sink all this money in your car only to race him and not be sure you will even win. Or, just tell him to f'off whenever he talks smack and ignore him. Personally I would save the money. Your friend doesn;'t sound like much of a friend if he is always provoking you on your car. I just don't see the common sense in spending all this money just to try and beat his car in a race.

none of this is gonna help you. MAYBE the throttlebody spacer on the top end.
