96 Camaro Quetion

I have a question about my car. I have a 96 3.8 and it has dual exhasut. Not true duel but it has 2 pipes instead of the 1 that most 6's have. There stock and I was just wonderin if my car has some type of package since almost all other V-6 camaros have 1 pipe. Thanks for any info.

Does it have ground effects also? That is the sports appearance package, a few cars have them. Such as mine. Check on your door codes on the driver side and see if you have a code called Y87. If so, you're one of the blessed with 3.42 gears, a performance steering ratio, and the almighty LSD (aka positraction to make the explaination easy).

nah no ground affects, and the closes code on the door I saw that resembled that was fp87.

You need to look inside your glove box for the Y87 code. There should be a sticker in there with all of your RPO codes listed. If you do find that you have this code then check the technical database for the specifics of this option.

I dont remember exactly.. but its either on the door jam stickers or the glove box sticker..

its will read Y87 (exactly)..

read that link above, it will tell you what your specific model year came with..

its a little performance package that has some cool stuff..

FYI y87 is not an aperence package, it has nothing to do w/ground effects

well if he has duel exhaust, and he doesn't have W68 then he must have Y87
