I'm still a general noob when it comes to cars... help me understand the mod effects

I'm not much of a performance nut... frankly the torque and hp of my V6 is enough for me... I'm satisfied in that regard...

Do some mods that add HP also help gas milage though? Like.... would the SLP cold air intake help HP and gas?... or are they inversely proportional all of the time? What about a K&N filter?

I know stuff like a smaller gear ratio (or something like that) will add tons of torque but kill gas milage...

Just wondering :P. I want to optimize my car for gas milage without hurting power :).

yes adding a cold air intake will help your gas mileage out. Let's your engine breath better

everything available is only a slight improvemant, Throttle body spacer, Electric water pump, No stereo on, and a clean fuel system

Yeah.... even CAI would probably only add like 10-15 HP max and maybe like 1-2 mpg.

I don't even know what a throttle body spacer is hahaha.

weight reduction, driving habits, no air conditioner on, roll up windows
CAI would add more like 5-10hp MAX(depending on other mods and the environment)
TB spacer, the intake is very hot because of the EGR. With the TB spacer, it keeps the incoming air cool. Adds like 2-5hp at higher rpms.
