is there a way to change all the transmission fluid myself without having to take it to a dealer for a $200 flush?

yes, drop the pan 1, 2 or 3 times. or stick a small hose down the dip stick tube, pump out all you can, refill, drive around, repeat a few time.

yes you can. all you do is remove the pan, change the filter, put new gasket and pan on, fill. flushes are fine but whats the point of doing all that and spending so much when you still have the old filter in the tranny...you know? the only thing it has on a filter change is old fluid does stick around in some places and you still have the gunk stuck in some places. I love the flush then filter change combo. can get expensive if your not doing it yourself though.

how doyou flush it yourself? I read somewhere that you disconnect the cooler line at the radiator and start the car. Then have the transmission pump the fluid into a container of some sorts
