bad miss

engine runs fine at idle and at under wot. somewhere in between 2-3rpm's i get a horrific miss..car just studders 1 time..and then it's fine..has new plugs and msd super conducters..i did find one small crack in a plug boot..i'm gonna change the wire it's on and see if that does it...any other ideas on what could be causing this?? coil going bad maybe??

i get the exact same thing in my car... if im lightly accelerating, just about 2500 rpms itll give one hiccup. seems to be worse the lighter im on the gas. I've had 2 3.4's and they both did the same thing. i have msd coil packs and i religiously tune up my car (plugs every 6k, wires every 9-12k)... I've also replaced almost all the sensors on the car. nothing seemed to help so far.

I've never experienced anything like this before. Well, closest to it would be the time I had a cheap set of wires on and was getting spark jumping through the jacket into a bracket. But that was missing nearly constantly.

There are sometimes when the AIR pump kicks on that dim the headlights, but never caused a miss.

I had a miss exactley like that and new wires cured it. Changing plugs every 6k and wires every 9-12k seems crazy to me unless you are running an extremely modified car.

lol.. it is crazy but i like to work on my car so i come up with excuses to do so. i run autolites, so its only runnin me $1.29 a plug and the wires have a lifetime warrenty so i just keep swappin them out.
