throttle body cleansing

do you have to take off the throttle body to clean it. also wher e can i get msd wires for my 2001 firebird thanks!

no you dont
there are sprays, i cant think of names but its a tall white/black bottle spray, called carbuerator cleaner. or something like that
gumout has a few products
i can think of alot of products but no names.
they should be used regualarly enough. (about every fill up).

seafoam...do a search for it..you'll find a ton of info...i know Napa carries it for sure. Summit sells the Msd's..i bought mine from there a few months back...i believe they were right at $50

I disassembled mine and found ~many~ of spots that the seafoam and tb spray missed. But, mine isn't the electronic tb like yours. If you were to take it apart, be very careful! I haven't cleaned the electronic tb yet, so I cannot give any info.

If you are using tb spray, do your best not to spray the little sensor on the maf. If you ruin that, you'll thow a code and end up spending lot'za $$ getting a replacement.
