I have no idea where my car manual is and my haynes manual is garbage and doesnt have a diagram of it? There should be a diagram of it on my radiator support under the hood, but it isnt there. i need help bad.

it has a picture of how its supposed to go... the pic is on the right shock mount (next to your fuses in the engine bay)

naw, no pictures/diagram anywhere under the hood. well, it came off on its own because i had just used engine dregreaser to clean up the car and put it all over the motor. im assuming it got into the tracks on the pulleys, and then i sprayed the degreaser/motor off with the hose and it slipped off one of the pulleys that isnt grooved. i was amused by the situation myself, i didnt think that could happen, but it did. nothing was wrong with the belt/pulleys before i cleaned up the engine, all okay.

also....is it possible to have the belt tensioned too much? i let the tensioner do it by itself, but i yanked up on it some more and it tightened up a bit more. the car feels like the rpms wind up a little bit slower now too for some reason, but it may just be in my head.... When i put it back on the idle was crazy too, idled at about 1500 for a bit, then finally dropped down to about 900. i dunno what that was about.
