did you download the other cd's and burn them? I think you have to install the program first, by putting in the first cd.

I have all the cd's except 4, which only needs another 30 megs. I would host a server buy my ISP has a firewall to stop that among other things. If somebody else can host a server I can upload some things.

I installed the GM manual...CD1. How or where do the data files go for the program to point to?

Hey. Is your FTP still up? I can't seem to get on. I'm using WS_FTP but still no luck.

                      Thanks,

YAY! finally got approved to post on here...

i really need this manual, and i have an FTP that is up 24/7. can someone upload the CD's to it to share for all? i'll also put it in a web accessible directory on my webpage so that you don't even need an FTP client to download it.

respond here if you have the capability to upload all the cd's somewhere, lets get this distributed!

ok, I got everything downloaded and installed...what a PITA...installation didn't work of the cd's worth a crap, so I copied all the cd's to the hard drive and installed it that way. Then, I discovered that this really isn't a service manual, because it keeps telling you to refer to the service manual for more info. It does have a lot of service info in it though, however it is for every GM vehicle, not just fbodys. For my 95, it didn't have very much info, just update bulletins about what owner complain to the dealers about. I did find some useful info though, helped me with a couple problems on this car and a pickup too.

O, and I can upload this to someones ftp if you want, I was just out of town for about a week recently and I didn't see any email that Brice77 sent me, my inbox got completely full of junk mail while I was gone and exceeded the account limit. But I'm back now and I can upload the files if you aim or msn message me.

It is the service manual, but only for 98+ cars. It's the same one that all the service centers use, but GM didn't switch to this online version of the manuals until 98. On these CDs, 96 and 97 years have the engine and transmission sections of the manual only.

I am not too sure what exactly these cd's are, could someone let me know, because I already have the Haynes manual. Do these manuals go into more detail or what?
