  • Bad day for the Bird...

    Long story short...

Left my T-tops off on what seemed to be a nice summer day, went to a car show with a friend, on the way home it starts pouring and my whole interior gets soaked. When we finally got back to his house, my front seats had good sized puddles in them. Put the T-tops on and windows up, leave it on the side of the road at his house because I didn't want to get my *** soaked. Guess I should have moved it. We go to my other friends house, and then the parents of the house I left my car at called my friend to tell him my alarm was going off. So we hurry over to his house, and someone backed into my car. Apparently she didn't see my car. So after I get all the info, I finally decide to move my car into his driveway. It was tough, considering my whole windshield was convered in condensation. My seat was soaked too, so my *** was wet the whole night. Spend the night at my other friend's house, wake up and get my car. The tach will barely go above 1000RPMs, but the car is revving above that. On the way home the tach starts working again, but my idle seems to be a little lower than usual. So I'm going to dry out my car as best I can today, but what else can I do? I used a shop-vac to suck out all the puddles, and used towels for the rest. It is still somewhat wet, we will see how much it dries today. Here are some pics of the dents my car recieved during the blind backout.

I feel your pain. I have an almost identical dent thanks to the wife backing into it.

personally id say just pull your front seats out if its sunny and let them soak out there for a while, maybe then alotta the foam underneith will dry up....

Well the interior is pretty dry now, but my SES light has chosen to come on.

And I smelled something very foul when I pulled into my driveway, not sure what it was. I'll get my code(s) checked.
