  • Difficult starting in 3.4

I've been having starting problems in my 3.4. If the engine is cold about 75% of the time it wont start when I crank it the first time. I have to let off, and crank it again, then it starts, sometimes with a POP from the exhaust. If the engine is warm, it usually fires right off. Car has a new fuel pump and filter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My car was doing basicly the same thing, but mines a 3.8. After my car would sit for about an hour it would have this problem. From reading other posts here, i had a good idea that it was the fuel pressure regulator, it was a ***** to replace, but so far it seems to have corrected the problem.

I've got an adjustable regulator on mine. Checked the psi the other day. 42lbs at idle. But i guess i could always put a stocker back on.
