    Ticking from EGR

    is this normal? because my car threw a ses but nothing is wrong!!! i tried to clear the pcm but the SES came back soon as she cranked over.

    i hear a slight ticking from the drivers side manifold area and right in the front of it like at the connection to the EGR..

    any and ALL help is appreciated....

    exhaust leak in the egr tripping the ses, probably the EGR valve code(s). Get it scanned at auto zone.

        my car has the same prob, I just scanned it today at school and that ticking has been there for a loooooooong time. SES light came on today and I found out it's my egr valve.

          it's the EGR gasket, I had the same problem when I had my 95..... you can probably feel the air if you put your hands around it
