  • Radiator Hose Bolt

I was replacing my thermostat with 160degree one and when I put the radiator hose back on(The hose that covers the thermostat), I dropped one of the bolt. It was held in there by 1 short bolt and 1 longer bolt and I dropped the shorter one. And I cant find it anywhere. It must be stuck somewhere in the engine bay.
So, anyone know what size the shorter bolt is? I need to go to the dealer tommorow and get a new one.

      YEa.. It sucks.
Do you think that the dealer will know the size?
Or should I find it out somehow before I go?

the dealer will have a diagram and will more than likely know... they'll try to sell you the whole casing assembly tho.
just get the measurements and then buy the bolt from somewhere like autozone
also... that bolt may have fallen down into the bumper area, or on to the ground and rolled somewhere obscure...
also ontop of the exhaust pipes is a good bet as well
usually when I lose a bolt I get under the car and look up w/ a light... it'll usually pop outta somewhere

dammit, they give me the wrong size.
The dude, who worked there showed me the diagram and it said that both bolts are the same size. But they are not the same size on my car.
Hmmm.. I think my car is starting to run out of coolant.

              Yea, it was different size.
It says its different even on this install guide.

I guess he was showing me the 3.4 diagram or something. Anyone know where I can get the 3.8 engine diagram?
