How hard would it be to convert a manual seat to one with power. Im thinking about getting some new seats but the ones Im looking at are manual and the ones I have now are power. How would I convert? Is it hard? Any info is helpful.

it just so happens that i just did such a thing today on my friends 92 explorer. we took cd player and the leather power seats from his other 92 explorer that has the leather/power seats (its beat to hell and only 2nd gear works,so its junk), they bolted right up no problem, there should be a 2 wire 12v plug going to the seats, crimp a circle connecter onto the black wire and screw or bolt it to the frame and run the positive wire to the positive terminal on the battery, you may want to put an in-line fuse on the + wire close to the battery incase of a short.
If you can spin a wrench and cut and crimp some wire, i would say you're set. good luck

If the ones you have now are power, and you want the manual ones, maybe you can switch the cushions so that the new cushions go on the old power seat frame. Is that what you're thinking of doing?
If I'm going to experiment, I like to visit the junkyard and mess up their stuff before I try it on my own car.2002 Silver Firebird A4
T-Tops, Leather, Y87, W68, Chrome Wheels
Bone Stock
