i bought a new gasket, its rubber. which seemed weird cuz im used to seeing paper/metal mesh. anyone accomplished this job with no problems. seems fairly easy, i have a lot of mechanical exp. whats up with the rubber gasket? i probably need gasket sealer right?

no gasket seal, the stock ones are rubber as well, very simply install, pull the cover, remove gasket, replace gasket, re-assemble. You may have to also get the engine removal bracket out of the way.
