    Re: cooling problems

From what I have found, the F-bodies do not like air in the radiator. Bleed the rad good. I hope it's something easy like that. Open the drain **** and rap on the throttle a couple good times then close it.

I blew a rad hose on the way to work one day, and it was a pain in the a$$ to get all the air out. Once the engine got hot it just kept getting hotter. I bled it about 4 or 5 times before it would kick the fan on and cool itself off.

if you are having a problemwith the fans kickin on try maybe to disconnect the batt for 30 min and re-connect it to try to reset the pcm. also if all else fails go to radio shack and pick up some stuff to wire up a manual fan switch. just giving some suggestions.

            Re: cooling problems

I wonder if maybe a mouse or something bit a wire going to your relay or something while it was sitting. A fan switch could a be a temp fix until you find the problem

have your dad check the wiring then, there is a chance something is loose and not sending the signal for your low speed fan settings

Yep water pumps have a weep-hole, and if the bearings go bad or something else, it'll leak to indicate that it needs replaced

                          Re: cooling problems

If it's running from the passenger side wheel well, it may be coming out of your coolant reservoir. If the coolant gets too hot it expands and will overflow out of the reservoir. That's assuming the reservoir is on the pass. side. I'm too tired to go out and check. Is the temp OK when you're moving? If so then it's probably not your cooling system, it would be the fans. If the fans will not come on, you need to check the sensors, relays and wiring. We know that the fans work because of the AC. They may just not be getting a signal for the high temp. If it overheats no matter what, then it's probably a bad thermo, air in the system, or a bad water pump, or a combo of those. How's your temp when the AC is on and the fans are running?
