do you mean she has to add water all the time? if so, she obviously has a leak.

Had a coolant flush and change recently? Replaced the thermostat? Checked the level in the overflow tank?
If you have to keep adding water it's going somewhere...1994 Firebird 3.4<br />15.65 @ 86.8<br /><a href=\"http://www.funkz.net/firebird.htm\" target=\"_blank\">funkz.net/firebird</a><br /><a href=\"http://mywebpages.comcast.net/funkz/timeslips.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Timeslips</a>

if she is having to keep adding water, she has a leak. maybe its internal. sure if she has air in the system and it slowly came out, you would have some over heating because of the air and you would have to add water to compinsate for the added space allowed but im guessing this is a larger amount of water and such for it to be an air problem. but for ****s and giggles, flush her coolant and make sure it is bleed all the way, you could check the thermo by putting it in a pot of water and heat it up. check the temp of the water when or if the thermo pops open. but you know, if the thermo isnt opening, you would have a full scall over heat that couldnt be periodically fixed by adding water. also, while your at it, check and see if the fans are coming on when it warms up cause you never know. one more thought, when you flush it, dont forget about the heater core. there could be gunk caught up in there that could be hindering things. you guys might be surprised what i have flushed out of people's heater cores.

have you checked the oil? if it looks milky she could have blown a head gasket and maybe even cracked a head. my buddy blew a head gasket on his 3.4 and it overheated constantly and he had to keep putting coolant in the car. and on my old 92 grand am it was the same way also. that would seemingly be the easiest place to start off and go from there.
current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it
