  • Are 26lb injectors to much? Is it possible to have to much ?

Most of you know my mods, most boltons/ powerpack/cam etc. etc. i have 26lb ls1 injectors and the walbro in tank pump, are these injectors to much?is it possible they would slow me down at all from being to much? thanks for any help guys.
Longtubes, true duals, ram air, caspers tps tec, ls1 26lb injectors, supersix powerpack, heads milled .020, comp cam .507 220/224 114 ls, forged internals and chromeoly pushrods, bored .030 over, tb spacer, tranny built with stiffer springs and kevlar bands, bigger servo, transgo stage 3 shift kit, edge 3600 stall, 1 pc aluminum ds, 3.73 superior gears, lsd rear ,custom pcm tuning, walbro 255 in tank,

That will definitely be too much for a V6. You will want to go with an injector under 24 lbs or lower if you are not going with forced induction or nitrous.

That's a lot of fuel to be dumping into a NA V6. Custom computer programming will be a must with injectors that size.

You would be more than fine with smaller injectors.

19 lbs, should be 21 lbs.

The worst that would happen with larger injectors is a rough idle. But unless you have large amounts of HP you won't need more than 24lb injectors.

The other consideration is the range of adjustment that the pcm can handle. I've heard it's around 25%. My fuel trim runs about 20% with the 24 lb injectors. (if I don't tweak the base setting on my maft, which is another whole discussion in itself...) So 26 lb and up injectors could exceed the pcm's adaptive capabilities.

If you exceed the range, then you'll run rich all the time, not just at idle, which will be bad for power, mileage, and durability.

Yep, you should be ok, if they remap the fuel table, then the pcm will be dead on. Then it won't be having to try to adapt to an injector it's not programmed for.

With a mini-AFC or a PCM recal you can run any size injectors you want and be ok.
