• sometimes it takes two cranks

sometimes it takes 2 cranks to start my car.. never really a certain time.. i crank it then stop the turn it over again and fires right up.. does this sound like a sensor

Do you let it crank for a few seconds the first time then stop and it fires the second time? Or is it more like you just bumped it the first time and it didn't catch. 'Cause I've done that before, just misjudged the amount of time it took to fire.

Hmm, the only time mine is hard to start like that is the first start after cleaning the top end. Have you cleaned out the throttle body and Seafoamed the intake yet?

Pull your intake off, stuff a rag under the TB and manually open the throttle and spray TB cleaner all around and inside, you will get a river of brown run out.

You also want to seafoam the motor through the brake booster line. There's a good writeup here about it. http://members.nuvox.net/~on.roz/cars/z28/seafoam.html

As for a bigger TB, I'm not sure, never heard of anyone doing it on a 3.4 other than the LT1 TB intake modification.

The only thing you can really dmg in a TB is a maf sensor if you spray it. I dindt think 3.4 had mafs in there TB? And if you do you can just take it out while you clean. Soak it good then wipe it clean.

Run some seafoam or automatic trans fluid( I use ATF) in the brake booster or a good vacuum line with manifold pressure. Let it sit for like 10 mins then put about a pint of water through it put it back together then go drive it
