    well this has been a problem i have had for a while. there is a crazy knocking sound comming from the drivers side of the engine but............ its not the lifters any ideas?????

    is it a knocking or a ticking sound? Also what year and engine?

        its wierd my car idles around 1100 and its knocking loud but when i rev up to 2100 it stops

                          typically when you have a spun bearing oil pressure is REAALLY low reguardless of the rpm. so im basing this on what ive personally seen. i wouldnt drive the car until its fixed. if you do you'll be spending alot of cash fixing other things.

                            You should be getting something like 50+ psi of oil pressure with the throttle open.
                            That could be a large part of your problem.
                            The low oil pressure can make the lifters tick, but appear fine, and can also ruin your bearings and make the rods knock.
