I bought a new fuel filter for my 82 V6. It's about 2 inches long and 5/8 in diameter. The location it was supposed to be in(fuel inlet line right next to the carb) had nothing that would hold this new filter. but there was some kind of check valve in the line right before the carb and it seemed to open opposite the flow of fuel I'm pretty sure this isn't a filter but where is it supposed to be? And what is this valve thing?
