i need to replace mine..i know its relatively easy to do..but i dont know where it is..i looked over the engine and i know its "outside" the engine somewhere but i cant seem to locate it..can anyone describe to me where it is and point me in the right direction?..thanks!

yes.
sheild has 2 (iirc) nuts holding it on,and starter has 2 bolts.1978 Formula 461 in progress of being built :rock:

You probably know this, but just incase...
Remember to disconnect the positive battery terminal before removing the starter. It's a hard lesson learned on my behalf.sigpicComment
