I just came back from the track and was real upset with the times I ran tonight. I ran couple of runs and the best time I had in the quarter was 17.44/78.02 mph and worst time was a 17.61/76.52 mph. I know there are a few things I can do to a 3.4 to help with the time but would it better to get 3.8 since there is few more mods you can do. I'm not lookin for 12 sec car but just looking for some improvement. Just want to get some ideas in what i should do. Any ideas would be great.

Re: 3.4 or 3.8 that is the question
Really depends on what you want.. The 3.4 can be an outright amazing motor, but it needs alot of work! Its time consuming and not that easy. Where as the 3.8 has alot more bolt-on options that will give you quick power. Personally I refuse to change mine to a 3.8 for a series of reasons, main one being I hate buick motors, but that more or less personal opinion. And the second reason I want a car not too many people build.
For the fast one I have a 2001 Firehawk M6.1995 Camaro 3.4 A4

CAI,IAT Relocate

if you want to upgrade your motor, just put in an LT1. dont waste your money doing a v6 swap.....unless you just dont want a v8

weight reduction, forced induction, nawsssssssssssssssssssssssssss, suspension, fwd 3X00 conversion, tire pressure, weather at track, driver skill, the current condition of your ride vs getting a beater just for go fast purposes, the list goes on & on. While we caint tell yo what to do, will will throw out suggestions for you to think about. Read the modification encyclopedia, make use of thefeature, and further peruse the general/advanced tech forums.
