  • ABS INOP light and Service light

Well i converted my drums to disc. Everything is on and the braking is perfect. THe light isn't on when my car is just turned on, but as soon as i start going it pops on, but i have no prob.

The service is from the SLP cold air induciton. I went to autozone and it said Manifold, High Input of Air. THey erased the code but, it came back on like 10 minutes.

Well everything seems to be running beatufiuly, but i would like my lights gone.

I had the same code when I went to autozone. He asked if i had an intake, and i said yeah and popped the hood. Here my ait sensor wasn't plugged in. Just a though. It took care of that for me. When my abs inop light was on, it was a popped fuse under the hood for it. Good luck

Like Camaro 22 said, your ABS Inop is probably just a fuse under the hood. Mine used to come on all the time. Changed the fuse and it hasn't come on since.

Another trick you may want to try is to disconnect the battery for 1/2 hour. I was getting a strange code regarding my ASR, Autozone cleared the code but it came back. It was'nt till I unhooked the battery that it went away for good.

My sensor is plugged into the elbow as best as i could get it. Could it be the sensor? The car ran beatiful when i took it out yeserday.

Check your brake lights, if you have one of the spoiler lights out, it will set an abs inop light.

My ABS and Air Bag lights were on after I upgraded my wires from the battery to the alternator and to the distribution block. Turns out that my connections were a bit corroded. I removed all of the wires going to the negative ground (near the plastic red junction box on the passenger's side) and cleaned each terminal with a wire brush. This made the ABS and Air Bag lights go away.

I had the same problem with my ABS light staying on. So I unhooked the battery overnight. Didn't help so I did like Harbin1 did. I cleaned all the wires and terminals when I got my new battery. The cables were bably corroded, I probably should have replaced the battery cables, but I'll wait until it warms up a little bit. But since then the abs light hasn't come on.
