i have noticed that when i first start my car when its cold i can roast em' a lot easier than if i let my car warm up to temperature, by any chance is there more power when the car is in open loop?

Re: open loop
the only thing really is the car runs off a preprogram and run a little rich to warm up quicker. maybe the a little extra fuel helps you.

Re: open loop
just a thought outta my ***, im sure since the engine is cooler, the air around the engine is cooler, so unless u have tru ram air, the air will be cooler, more o2 molicules in the air equale faster combustion.......

Re: open loop
maybe its allowing you more timing cause its not detecting knock.
Too rich is bad for power.
Max rich for N/A you'd want to be is 13.5:1
sounds like you need a tune.
Fact: Your intake air is definately cooler on startup, which would equal a max of 9rwhp (my buddy, donniearcher proved this on a dyno)
You are in open loop until 68F ECT2k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! DONT feed the Trolls!
