its drivin me bannanas!!! some people i talk to think its a rod knock, but there was no dust in the oil in the oilchange i just did!! and some people say its a lifter tick. im confused bucause the only rodknock iveheard was from my blazer and that was something fierce!! the ticking hasnt gotten any louder from the day it started, and it only gets faster, not any louder, the car has a lil power loss down low, but up top it pulls hard, im so lost!! HHEEELLLPPPP!!!

Have you checked for an exhaust leak? This can cause a ticking noise that increases with speed and it can cause a performance drop HP wise.

well i just got back from the tranny shop and some of the guys there seem to think its a rod knock, but i always thought a rod knock was a more hollow knock than a tick. then one of them say something about it could be a wrist pin.
