The other day i went to start my car, i turned the key, and NONTHING happend. I said ok, ill try jumping it, i tryed and the same thing. Now im thinking its the starter, i changed the starter today, and i still that the problem. Then I turned the key to the start position fast several times and i was able to start it. What do you think the problem is? Im guessing the ignition switch

On the connectons to the starter is did use sand paper and make them shiny. Ok, so is the ignition something i can do, or should it go to my mechanic. Thanks.

Yes all the way in park, i have even tryed netural. Yes i tryed rocking it back and forth, even after driving it, its still having the problem. I think i will be too much trubble to take the ignition appart so im guessing what im going to do is run a wire from the battery, and another from the starter silinoied to a push button switch inside the car. This way ill have to do is put the key in the run position and press the button and the car will start. ;)

            Re: No starter

Are you getting any dash lights? If not, it's probably the switch at the base of your column that the ignition switch connectes to via a rod. Good Luck.

              Re: No starter

I have dash lights untill i turn the key to the start position. Its at that point i hear a click and every thing goes died untill i let the key off of start. But like i said if i turn the key several times to start position about 10-15 times, it will eventually make contact and start.

                  Re: No starter

It's actually a switch that controls the BCM and a few other things. Mine went out twice and the symptoms were: No dash lights/guages, radio / headlights worked fine, nothing when the key is turned to start, and the 'security' light stayed on constant (indicating not a passII fault). It's located at the base of the steering column. It'll have two connectors going into it.
Basically, drop the column from the dash and look at the rod that moves when you turn the key ... at the other end of that rod is the switch I'm talking about. Mine burned up twice before I rewired all of it to exclude that switch. Now my car starts by the cigarette lighter. :) Good Luck
