I just purchased a can of Sea Foam, but I need a little info. on how to pour this sucker through the PCV valve on my 3.4L Camaro. I unplugged the hose and turned the car on, but the damn thing started to idle extremely high and just kept going. Is this normal? Did I do something wrong or unplugged the wrong hose? On the 94 Camaro, I unplugged the hose that is inside the manifold that has the 3.4L logo on. It looks kinda like a "V shape and has two hoses connecting on it's sides. Was this it? I read that it is locate on the drivers side valve over. Please help me out. I searched the forum, but couldn't find anything.

Re: Sea Foam and PCV Valve
the hose youre talking about is a vaccume hose i think. the pcv valve should be on the lower intake IIRC.

Re: Sea Foam and PCV Valve
what you need to unplug is a vacuum hose. it sounds like you got one, but the reason its idling so high is because you're introducing alot more air into the engine than was accounted for by the MAF, so the engine is getting more air, then it ups the fuel... ya see whats going on? but yeah, just yank off that hose, you should feel a good vacuum coming off it, and dont bother pouring (unless you're going right in teh pcv) the vacuum from the hose should suck it right outta the bottle for you.2000 3.8L Camaro A4 Pewter Y87<br />K&N Filter, SLP Ram Air kit, Eibach Pro Kit, Flowmaster 80 series, Silverstars, NGK plugs and MSD Super Conductor Wires, Electric Water Pump

Re: Sea Foam and PCV Valve
ya i used the hose coming off the brake round cynlider thing, put a skinny funnel into it and slowly pured some in then it died, waited a min, started it up pured a lil more in then it died again. let it sit for about 5 mins then started it up and it was runnin rough. not too much smoke came out while i was drivin it around the neighborhood gettin it flushed out. pooured almost a half pint into oil drove down to galveston and back then changed oil. also had some in the gas tank the whole time and i now notice a smoother operation and maybe a few ponies  . i liked the fact its so cheap and effective that tomm ill be doing it to my moms 87 crown vic with almost 200,000 miles. she'll appreciate it im sure. i highly recommend this.
