  • What is actually involved in the reflashing of a PCM?

I need to know because the dealership that I am now trying to get reflashed though says they have no idea of how to reflash a PCM with a VIN different from the one already in the PCM. They seem to think that it is impossible but Ive heard of people here getting it done. So in a technical aspect what is inolved in doing it so I can tell them.

to my knowledge dealerships cannot do it...I work at a dealership and have played around with there computers nothing in there that could change anything unless something was wrong...something like that might void your warranty, and at a place where warranty work is done, things such as that do not exist ;) ....ask magnus he'll be able to tell you what you need...and he can prolly do it for you too.. ;)

I'm stuck there too. I want to get mine flashed to remove torque management software only so my transgo kit will work better. I know the guys from DHP do it. You can find them at ClubGP.
