I've owned two '97 camaros now (on my 2nd) and whereas the first one had sort of yellowed bulbs, these headlights look brand new. Granted, this car has about 20,000 miles less than my first one (only 58,000!!!!!) but I don't know...
Anyway, my question:
Is it normal for the car to have "Sylvania Halogen" for the outer headlights and "Guide Halogen" for the inner ones?

Heh mine are not that way, and I didn't pay attention when I bought it :(
It's quite possible it was changed in '97.
In '97 they changed the interior a lot, changed the taillights to tri-color (foreign version), and I wouldn't be surprised if those lights were another change. Also it has the 30th anniversary embossment on the seats.
I love my car haha. Oh yeah I can't forget to put leather restorer on the steering wheel tomorrow *adds to list* :D
Thanks guys... just wondering...

While you brag about the sweetness of the 30th, let me brag about the sweetness of my 10th Firehawk! :)
I want a '97 SS soooo bad, but I want the LT4 and a 6spd, and t-tops...

haha :). It was an amazing blessing to find the car so close to going back to school (bought it 3 days ago, go back to school day after tomorrow).... and I'm so stinking picky... Had to be '97... had to be auto... had to be black... had to have decent milage... had to be for a decent price.. had to have decent paint...
The only thing this one doesn't have is t-tops (they're a hassle anyway) and power seats, but I got it for about 1,700 under blue book :).
My last one probably had better overall paint, but after doing mother's claybar and zaino I'm pleasantly surprised.
I see what you're saying about the '97 SS. They have an awesome-looking hood. I wanted reliability though, and the 3800 II is one heck of an engine. No piston-slap or oil leakage for me :p

Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
Hello, so I changed the front bearings on the bird and the ABS inoperative light came on. I made a mistake of not removing negative battery cable. Now...
I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
