  • My car wont go on ramps...any ideas?

I posted on here a week or so ago about how I was going to change my oil but I didnt know if my car would go on ramps. Well, I can't even get the ramp to touch the front tires because it hits the front bumper. Everyone here told me it would go fine as long as I went slow. Someone told me to put some boards down to lessen the steepness of the grade so I tried that and the boards snapped like twigs and yes I had something supporting them. I really need to change my oil and I want to do it myself...what do I go?

I believe he meant set the board flat on the cement, not angled on the ramp.

The smallest rhino ramps (plastic ones) people say work.

SO your options are try the boards the right way, buy the rhino ramps, or just a jack and jack stands.

I dont know if I can trust plastic ramps...I guess it's jack stands for me.

Where is the drain bolt located on the 3.4? Maybe I can get to it by backing the car on some ramps.

The ramps support vechicals up to 8,000 lbs. and have 17 inch clearance. I would highly recommend them. They are alot safer than jack stands, and alot easier.

And why would we flame the hell out of you? Because there's a Mustang on the ramps?

i goy the plastic ones. The only thing is if you dont stop exactly on top and go a little further it will twist the plastic and bend it, but when you back off it fixes. They actually had a higher weight limit and everyone recommended them because they are easier to use by yourself.

Also, i am a big guy and dont want to chance getting squished, so i do cinder blocks AND jackstands where i am working with the ramps. I can never be too safe.
