Same here, just lost another front DRL/turn signal in my Bird after a heavy monsoon rain. I agree that water gets in there and heat shocks the bulb, cracking it.

Yeah, and most of the time it's that crazy gasket in there that causes the water to get into the lens in the first place. Good luck trying to get one from GM... they'll hose you for the entire socket assembly. 60 bucks IIRC. So I went to autozone and found pieces to fab my own. No more bulb problems. Cost me all of like 2 bucks I think.Comment
