  • carbon deposit on plugs

    When I found the leaking oil.I cheaked the spark plugs. They look like they have a carbon deposit. Thats what the repair manaul says by the picture it has.

    eh, spark plugs always come out a bit dark. They would have to be pretty messed up looking to have a problem, but check to see if you can match what tehy look like to your Haynes or Chilton.

      the EGR makes them carboned

        I look a the pic. from the Haynes manual and the plug. Plug is a dark brown and a little brown.The fun thing is Haynes says the car will not run good but my car run great.

          If I get a EGR Block Off Plate from zzp.Will that get ride of some of the carbon.

            Yes but you will need to only block off the egr port on the manifold and let it suck in engine bay air. If you take the whole assembly out you will have a code being thrown. Unless you have hp tuners to disable that code. Most guys just block the port on the manifold then attach a little air filter setup on the end of the egr tube and just suck in cool air.

                I have both mine blocked, and using a sim. I have no codes and car runs better with no egr! :D
